Privacy Policy

Effective June 12, 2026

1. Who we are

Bookpoint (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the scheduling platform available at bookpoint.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly:

  • Account data — name, email address, and password when you register.
  • Profile data — your public booking page name, services, and availability.
  • Booking data — names and email addresses of customers who book appointments with you.
  • Communications — messages you send us via the contact form.

We also collect limited technical data automatically:

  • IP address and browser type (standard server logs).
  • Pages visited and actions taken within the app.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
  • To send booking confirmation, reminder, and cancellation emails.
  • To send transactional emails such as password resets.
  • To respond to your support inquiries.
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Email communications

Bookpoint sends transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, password resets) necessary to deliver the Service. These are not marketing emails and cannot be opted out of while you have an active account. Customers who receive booking emails may contact the Provider or us at support@bookpoint.ca to request removal.

5. Data sharing

We share data only with:

  • Resend — our email delivery provider. Customer email addresses are transmitted to Resend solely to send booking-related emails.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — necessary to run the platform (e.g. database, CDN).
  • Law enforcement — if required by applicable law or valid legal process.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Booking records are retained for up to 2 years for audit purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your rights

Under applicable Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and Ontario's privacy framework) you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.

To exercise these rights, email support@bookpoint.ca. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

Bookpoint uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, contact us and we will delete the information promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact
